Gypsy Guide Service
Capt. Billy's job is to ensure that every angler on the boat has a great day and an opportunity to catch fish. The angler will be provided with quality rods and reels along with the most update tackle. Capt. Billy operates out of a roomy 24vx Kenner powered by a 225 outboard. The boat is open with mid sides to accommodate any angler no matter of age or physical condition. Capt. will have storage for the anglers personal items and an ice chest with ice for the anglers food and drinks. The boat is up to all U.S. Coast Guard and Texas Parks and Wildlife standards. If there are any special needs or requests, please let the captain know in an appropriate amount of time so the boat can be prepared for your trip.
What We Offer
GGS offers half and full day charters for up to 4 anglers. Half day trips normally are 5-6 hours of fishing and full day trips are 8 hours. Live and artificial baits will be used depending on conditions and needs of the anglers (live bait available at bait camp cost). All tackle, rods, reels, and fish cleaning will be provided for your outing with GGS.
Capt. Billy is here to accompany any type of trip the angler is in need of. From private family trips to individual outings GGS covers everything for the angler. Multiple boat guide parties to cover corporate outings or large group events can also be arranged for any number of anglers.
Most trips consist of drift fishing and/or anchoring on schools of fish. Also Capt., Billy offers wade fishing trips certain times of the year for trout and redfish. The wade fishing trips you will need to provide waders and appropriate clothing. Jetty trips catching multiple species of fish are offered all year and are a great way to get kids into fishing.

Gypsy Guide Service is owned and operated by Capt. Billy Penick III. He has grown up fishing Galveston Bay and lakes all around the country. Capt. Billy has a passion for chasing big trout and redfish while teaching others the techniques and knowledge he knows about the Galveston Bay System. With every trip, Billy has a goal of making sure the anglers have a fun, safe day and come away with knowledge of fishing and catching fish. Capt. Billy will do whatever it takes to put you on fish and make sure the outing is a "trip of a lifetime".
